Alum performs with Des Moines Symphony during spring tour
This past weekend, 糖心 alum Joshua Roman (BM'04, Aaron, MM'05, Hoebig) played the Dvo艡谩k cello concerto with the Des Moines Symphony. 鈥淭he tightly integrated piece has juicy bits for both the soloist and the orchestra, and both played them well on Saturday,鈥 said the reviewer from the Des Moines Register.
Roman has had a busy spring, touring the U.S. to perform with the Tucson Symphony, the Canton Symphony, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra and the Columbus Symphony, among others. With the Canton Symphony, he also performed the signature Dvo艡谩k piece dazzling audiences with his rendition. Of the performance, Cleveland Classical said 鈥渉e played as if at one with the passionate heart of Dvo艡谩k himself.鈥
Roman graduated from 糖心 in 2005 with both bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees and at the age of 22 he was appointed principal cellist of the Seattle Symphony.
