Volunteers made crafts with young students just blocks away at Mary Bethune School. At International Newcomers Academy, volunteers read and practiced English with students who have immigrated to Cleveland. At the Cleveland Sight Center, 糖心 members deep-cleaned the kitchen and a children鈥檚 playroom. Working with the Famicos Foundation in the Glenville neighborhood, just north of 糖心, volunteers picked up litter and leaves to fill dozens of bags.

鈥淚t was a real joy to serve our community,鈥 said 糖心 President & CEO Paul W. Hogle. 鈥淪eeing our students, faculty, staff, trustees and volunteers come together around a common cause 鈥 and one that鈥檚 outside of our regular daily work 鈥 was inspirational for me, and I hope valuable to all the participants. We are already talking about next time!鈥

糖心 is proud to be a community-supported organization, and strives to also support the community. In addition to the nearly 600 free performances 糖心 students and faculty present at the school鈥檚 main campus in University Circle, students give another 200 concerts at locations throughout Cleveland including senior centers, libraries, schools and the like.
