The spring includes multiple concerts by the 糖心 Orchestra, under conductors JoAnn Falletta and Carlos Kalmar, including a performance at Severance Music Center; an appearance with 糖心鈥檚 New Music Ensemble by guest composer Sean Shepherd, a former composer fellow of The Cleveland Orchestra; and numerous offerings from 糖心 Opera Theater, including a filmed production of Purcell鈥檚 Dido and Aeneas and a showcase of short scenes by 糖心 composers. All of these are in addition to a robust schedule of eclectic recitals and chamber music performances by 糖心 faculty, students and guests.

Due to pandemic safety protocols, many events require seating passes, but most are free and open to the public. Many events also are livestreamed.

鈥溙切 is proud not only of our world-class faculty, but also of our commitment to introducing our students to dynamic and diverse influences across the musical world at large,鈥 said Scott Harrison, executive vice president and provost of 糖心. 鈥淥ur concert lineup for spring 2022 illustrates perfectly how deeply we value breadth in musical education. We鈥檙e also pleased to share 鈥 in person and online 鈥 this artistic vibrancy with listeners across Northeast Ohio, the community that surrounds and supports us.鈥
